The Glass Duffle State of Affairs

Welcome to the new Glass Duffle! There’s a lot changed, both the blatantly apparent and the ever-so-subtle. For one, we obviously have a new design. And logo! And now you can find us active on Google+ and Twitter too.

And you’ll also notice I’ve been using “we” and “us”, like this one-man show has turned into a circus and well… it has! I’d like to introduce the two newest additions to the Glass Duffle team: Nick Battaglia and Wes Kasik. Both are fellow Ohio University alums and both are motivated + talented individuals who fit nicely into the positive vibes I’ve been trying to build here.

Nick Battaglia
Nick will be focusing mostly on music. He won’t necessarily be breaking new artists or playing radio hits before they’re “hits”. His posts will be more situational, creating a scenario and aiming to match that energy with a corresponding playlist. And all the while, encouraging the relationship between music and positive living. Should be fun!

Wes Kasik
Wes’ role is more ambiguous but certainly no less ambitious. His role here at Glass Duffle will be a very growing experience not just for him as a writer, but as a person. His posts will relate the common internal struggles we all face and will seek to uncover the most positive manifestations of these emotions.

As for me, I’ll be heading out to SXSW in Austin, TX from Los Angeles, CA today for my next project with Amtrak! Amtrak is accommodating 30 bloggers to take the Texas Eagle to SXSW and I’m lucky to work with Amtrak on the official video of it all. #AmtrakLIVE is going to be a blast and I can’t wait to create content again for something I truly love: train travel. So, if you’re going to be in Austin, TX for SXSW between March 7 – March 15, let’s connect!

In the meantime, expect the introductory posts from both Nick and Wes over the next couple days and then the video from Amtrak after that. It’s going to be an exciting couple of weeks, no?

Anyway, see you in Austin!
